Thurrock Swimming Club was established in 1963 and utilises all local pools in Thurrock, in addition to offering weekly long course training sessions. The Club maintains an 'open door' policy and welcomes swimmers from diverse backgrounds, including numerous athletes with disabilities. Thurrock SC has a distinguished history of developing swimmers at County, Regional, National, and International levels.
We are committed to providing exceptional teaching and coaching opportunities for our members and are proud to have many qualified teachers and professional coaches. The Club is also supported by dedicated volunteers as well as a professional Executive Committee.
TSC delivers a robust and high-quality Learn to Swim programme focused on the development of essential skills, aiming to guide swimmers through stages 1-10, after which options such as Swimfit or Rookie Lifeguard training are offered. Alongside the Learn to Swim programme, we operate an academy initiative designed to prepare young swimmers for competitive participation.
The Club implements a structured and professional training programme that adheres to specific criteria within each squad. Our objective is to ensure every swimmer progresses through the squads, achieves their goals, and realises their potential.
In addition to our highly competitive swimming programme, we organise numerous social events throughout the year.
